Graduating in Business Law, Matt built his career with McCarthy & Stone, Berkeley, Mount Anvil and Crest Nicholson (South East & London), where he sat on the Board as Development Director.
With career acquisitions of circa 50 sites and £1BN GDV, Matt’s experience of legal, planning, commercial and affordable housing matters, means he is expertly placed to deliver.
Since founding Caerus in 2011, Matt has navigated challenging market conditions, gaining invaluable lessons along the way. Through it all, his core values of integrity, performance and commitment to the deal remain firmly at the forefront.
Tom Elder MRICS
Planning & Finance
Prior to joining Caerus in 2015, Tom spent six years at Crest Nicholson, three within their Regeneration division unlocking major development projects in association with public and private bodies, then a further three years helping establish Crest Nicholson London’s development portfolio.
Tom specialises in acquisition due diligence, planning applications, financial modelling and Corporate Governance. Tom has been a member of the RICS since May 2012, RTPI Licentiate member since 2010 and possesses an MSc in Planning and a BSc in Real Estate, both from the University of Reading.
Nick Beard RIBA
Design
Chartered since 1998, Nick was initially a project architect at Stock Woolstencroft and has extensive experience in all stages of the design, planning and construction processes. Prior to joining Caerus, Nick spent 4 years at Crest Nicholson London, overseeing the design, consent and fit out of over 1,500 homes.
With his knowledge of the London housing market – and often delivering his own homes – Nick leads on all design matters including in house capacity assessments, ensuring Caerus are best placed to effectively and efficiently assess all opportunities.
Anna McCombie
Technical
With a degree in Architecture from The University of Sheffield, Anna started her career specialising in high end London refurbishments, with subsequent roles at Heathrow Terminal 2, London Square, The Berkeley Group and Crest Nicholson London, where she left as Technical Executive.
Anna’s expertise is technical assessments of new sites, compliance and managing design teams throughout build.
